EFFICIENCY AND COMMITMENT
At ALFRÍO, we are committed to efficiency as part of our focus on quality and sustainability. Through various projects co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia (FEEMP/FEMPA grants) and the European Union, we promote technological improvements, energy efficiency and process optimization that allow us to move towards a more responsible production model.
FEMP/FEMPA Grants – PROCSA
Technological improvements at the fish and seafood ready-meals production center (2025)
Project subsidized by the European Union and the Xunta de Galicia – FEMPA
We have carried out a project involving technological and management improvements at the factory producing ready-made dishes from fishery products, aimed at optimizing production processes and strengthening the plant’s operational efficiency.
The actions include the implementation of box coding systems, the incorporation of new machinery for squid and flying squid processing, and the launch of a digital process management platform (MES/MOM system).
Technological improvements at the fish and seafood ready-meals production center
Project subsidized by the European Union – European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) 2014–2020
We have developed a project involving technological improvements at the fish and seafood ready-meals production center, with the aim of modernizing production processes and strengthening the plant’s competitiveness.
These actions have made it possible to optimize operational efficiency and move towards a more efficient production model aligned with market needs.
FEMP/FEMPA Grants – ÁNGEL LÓPEZ SOTO SL
Technological improvements at the fish products processing plant
Project subsidized by the European Union and the Xunta de Galicia – FEMPA
We have carried out a project involving technological improvements at the fish products processing plant, including the upgrading of work equipment and an automated defrosting system.
The project also includes a residual sludge compactor, the installation of continuous ice production, box coding systems, cleaning of process containers, a distribution line to a new refrigeration machinery room, and improvements to the cooked mussel line with a cold-tunnel packaging room.
Technological and management improvements at the fish processing plant
Project subsidized by the European Union and the Xunta de Galicia – FEMPA
We have developed a project involving technological and management improvements at the fish processing plant, aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of seawater intake and cold storage facilities, as well as optimizing the packaging lines for squid rings, octopus, and cooked mussels.
The project also includes the implementation of a computerized document management system, contributing to an overall improvement of the plant’s production and management processes.
Technological and management improvements at the fish processing plant
Project subsidized by the European Union – European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) 2014–2020
We have developed a project involving technological and management improvements at the fish processing plant, with the aim of strengthening the company’s competitiveness through the optimization of production and management processes, within the framework of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund Operational Programme 2014–2020.
Grid-connected solar photovoltaic self-consumption installation with NO surplus
Project subsidized by the European Union – NextGenerationEU
We have carried out the installation of a 230 kW solar photovoltaic self-consumption system on the roof of the PROCSA facility in Vigo. This investment has enabled us to reduce our carbon footprint and optimize energy use at our facilities.
